Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro Cases
Contaminated Baby Bath Products
- Date Filed: March 19, 2009
- Court: U.S. District Court
- Location: Chicago
HBSS is representing parents and other consumers who claim that some of the nation's largest child-product companies including industry giants Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) and Proctor and Gamble (NYSE:PG) sold products that contained probable cancer-causing chemicals including formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane.
The suit contends that the manufacturers' product, which includes baby shampoos, lotions and other bath products, present a health risk to those using them. The suit asks the courts to order a medical monitoring program to gauge the long-term health risks, and to compensate those who have used the allegedly defective products.
